Happy Birthday Adam!

A very Happy 29th Birthday to Adam who is far away in Paris with Becca! It feels like it has been a week long celebration, but there is no one better to celebrate than you. I love you dearly and I am so proud to have such a wonderful young man as a son. Thank you for giving us lovely Becca and precious Livy. Eat a waffle for me in Bruge and don't hurry home. . . we are enjoying Olivia too much.

A Special Day for Lisa

Happy Birthday to faraway Ohio where Lisa is celebrating her 32nd birthday tomorrow. It is also Easter Sunday which feels like such an appropriate day for Lisa to have a birthday since she is such a Christlike person.

Lisa, I will always treasure this past week for where we spent time (lots of it!) trying to get a few sewing projects done (especially your quilt.) You picked quilting and sewing up so easily and I know it will be a skill that will bless your life. What a joy it is for me to come and stay where I can see first hand what a wonderful wife, mother and daughter of God you are. I love you dearly and hope you have a special day! We will be thinking of you here at home.

It's Not Augusta But It's Pretty Heavenly

Last week, I wanted to walk the Thanksgiving Point Garden before I meet with President Holland about the Women's Walk. I know the men in the family think Augusta is next to heaven, but I have to say that one of my favorite places is still the gardens at Thanksgiving Point where nearly ten years ago, Hilary and I had our special walk together. Tim and I took Wiley, Rosa, Eva and Hazel and jaunted through at quite a pace, since it was a little chilly. We stopped by the "Secret Garden" for a picnic but once Eva climbed into the fountain, we knew it was time to keep moving. Rosa, my mom and I went back again yesterday. I think it is quite divine.

A New Grandpuppy

Could any dog be more cute than Pie Pie? Well. . .

Megan and Taylor have a new puppy. We are so happy to welcome little Gus Gus as Pirate's little brother. He is so adorable! Grandma, Rosie and I went to see him yesterday and couldn't believe how tiny and soft he is compared to Pirate, who now seems like a giant. Although Grandma and I tried to take a turn holding him, Rosie pretty much "took him over." It will be so nice for Pirate to have a little playmate.

Happy Birthday Hilary!

To our additional daughter Hilary who is a joy beyond measure. I am so proud of you and the amazing and mature young woman that you are. I love to be with you and chat about anything and everything. I trust you completely and know you have a wonderful future ahead of you. Thanks for all you have taught me. I know you have a mother in heaven who is deeply pleased. Hope you had a nice birthday. It was so fun to be with you and Megan for lunch!

Happy 21st Birthday to Stephanie!

Stephanie, you are such a wonderful addition to our family. You are always so happy and easy to be around. You are GREAT at involving all the little kids when they are around which tells me that you will make a fabulous teacher and someday a mother. You have worked so very hard in school to prepare to graduate. We are all very proud of you and love you dearly! It's easy to see why Aaron is so madly in love with you. Still can't believe you watch all of those ball games. . .
